After much procrastination I finally started to cut out the quilt! Its taking a long time as I don't seem able to use a rotary cutter very effectively. Clearly need some practice!

I bought a quilting ruler. Does that count as progress?? Oh yes and we are all going to Portugal for a week new year to celebrate the Anniversary! All the children and grandchildren. Hurrah!!

The fabric has arrived from America. Its Lecien and its gorgeous. No excuse not to start now!

I have now chosen a design! I have decided to attempt this beautiful quilt which I fell in love with on Pinterest. Only I am going to do a different border. Just to make it even more difficult for myself! Now I need to choose my fabric.

I had a fantastic response to my original quilt post asking for ideas, advice and inspiration. Thanks to everyone who responded. I have lots to think about!
